The school was founded in 1968 by Mary Allen and Elise Wright - the current principal, who took over the school in 1985 with Sharon Martin as Head teacher. Joanne Hutson joined as the Drama teacher in 1990. Ex-pupils Debra Dickinson and Tonja Mountford joined the school in 2000 and 2006 respectively.
School shows or displays are held every two years. The school has, to date, raised in excess of £70,000 for various, mainly local, charities - the most recent being £7,500 towards Guide Dogs For The Blind.

Past pupils are working and have worked in the West End, on cruise ships around the world, Japan and in Musicals Cabarets and shows worldwide.
We are a term fee based school and provide reductions for brothers and sisters and for those who wish to take more than one class per week. There are three terms a year, with examinations usually held at the end of each term.
You may enrol at anytime of the year. Ages taken are pre-school (2.5 yrs) to adult.
The school has a set uniform which is always available at the classes, however we advise that beginners wear comfortable clothing like a tracksuit and trainers.
